The Age of Mega Empires Part III

Wednesday, December 2 at 7pm- 8pm

Part 3 of The Age of Mega Empires. You’ve never seen an empire engorged like this! Welcome to the age of Kingdoms and Queendoms so large they put modern countries to shame. These mega nations were not only incredibly fat in land area (the thickness is real) but phat in wealth, stature, and global power. There were so many mega nations at this time that we will spend four classes in this period alone! What may be considered Africa’s most pivotal time in history, we will explore everything from the construction of the world’s earliest universities, to the role that African empires played in the Transatlantic, Transaharan, and Indian Ocean slave trades. Buckle up, because we’re headed to the deep end of the pool.
